MOTO is a museum that aims to explore notions, concepts and understandings of the “Western” and the “Occidental”. For this purpose it collects, copies and catalogues, invents, produces and destroys objects and ideas that fall into this category of discourses.

"...all I need is a Museum"

It is quite comforting that there is someone else in the world who had an idea as great as we had about the construction of a Museum of the Occident. The fact that these people call their bulding "Museum of the Islamic [sic] art" is just a detail, such as their unlimited money are details we don't care (we are rich of idea!, some good guy could say)...Self-interpretation and -representation: I wonder if there is a spy among us...

MOTO meets Tehran Biennial: Urban Jealousy

Hello MOTO people of the world.

A quick recap note from a brief encounter regarding MOTO. The Tehran Biennial [www.biennialtehran.com] is in Berlin this month, MOTO was invited through Kaya, to partake. After some scatter of discussion - we were thinking that a simple intervention would suffice at this point.
